We manufacture & sell our Grow Bags & Raised Beds wholesale to retailers, as well as directly to the public through our factory shop & online store.

Objective.

To develop a robust, premium brand identity & an educational, e-commerce-enabled website that establishes MAXGRO as the leading manufacturer of top-quality fabric grow bags & raised beds. The goal was to appeal to both B2B horticultural retailers & B2C home gardeners by communicating superior product benefits & driving sales.

Discovery & Rooted Strategy

The project began with a deep dive into the horticultural market to position MAXGRO at the intersection of quality manufacturing & gardening passion.

Stakeholder Interviews

Collaborated with the MAXGRO team to understand their manufacturing process, product specifications, unique selling propositions (e.g., fabric quality, root-aeration technology, durability), & target markets.

Dual Audience Analysis

Mapped the distinct needs of B2B retailers (product margins, bulk ordering, marketing support) & B2C gardeners (product benefits, ease of use, gardening success).

Competitive Audit

Analysed competitors to identify a premium space for MAXGRO, focusing on superior materials, educational content, & a brand that appeals to both commercial & serious hobbyist gardeners.

Value Proposition Development

Defined core messaging around themes of “Healthier Plants, Bigger Yields,” “Superior Root Aeration,” & “The Professional’s Choice for Home & Nursery.”

Brand Identity: Natural, Premium & Trusted

The brand identity needed to reflect the natural product benefits while feeling premium, scientific, & trustworthy.

Logo Design

Created a bold, clean word-mark that conveys strength & reliability. The design potentially incorporates an abstract icon suggesting growth, roots, or a leaf, executed with precision to reflect the product’s quality & effectiveness.

Colour Palette

Selected an organic yet sophisticated palette. Deep greens & earthy browns represent nature & growth, while a contrasting accent colour (e.g., a warm terracotta or a vibrant green) is used to highlight key elements & evoke a sense of harvest & vitality.

Typography

Paired a strong, stable sans-serif font (for clarity & a modern feel) with a classic serif font (to convey heritage & trust) for a balanced & authoritative tone.

Imagery & Graphics

Established a photography style that showcases the products in lush, thriving gardens & clean, professional settings. Supplemental graphics use organic lines & textures that echo fabric & root systems.

Brand Application

Designed a full suite of collateral, including product packaging with clear care instructions, wholesale catalogs for retailers, & trade show materials, ensuring a cohesive brand experience from the warehouse to the garden center.

The website was designed to be the ultimate destination for learning about & purchasing fabric grow solutions, serving two distinct customer paths seamlessly.

Information Architecture

Developed a clear sitemap with intuitive navigation, including dedicated sections for Products, Why Fabric? (education), For Retailers & Growing Guides.

User-Centric Wire-framing

Prototyped key flows for both audiences:

  • B2C Product Selection: Intuitive filtering by product type, size, & use case (e.g., vegetables, herbs, trees).
  • B2B Portal: A secure, gated section for retailers to access wholesale pricing, place bulk orders.

High-Fidelity UI Design

Created a responsive, content-rich website that embodies the premium brand.

  • Homepage: Visually demonstrates the product’s benefits with hero imagery of healthy plants, clear value propositions, & pathways for both retailers and gardeners.
  • Product Pages: Designed to build confidence with high-resolution image galleries, detailed technical specifications, and prominent testimonials.
  • Trust Building: Features customer success stories, certifications, and data on improved plant growth to validate the product’s superiority.

Technical Execution

Built on a robust e-commerce platform (WooCommerce) capable of handling both individual & bulk orders, with a CMS for easy blog & resource management.
